My name is Mikael Larsson I am just a 25 year old regular guy, or boy as I would call myself whos interest is games games games and of course sports.
Born and raised a few miles north of Stockholm where I lived before I moved to Malmö in 2008.
Past
I started coded homepages using HTML, ASP when I was about 12-13 years of age.
More or less by using Frontpage but soon realised the way to code was a text-editor and got pretty good at it and thought of it as a future work possibility.
During some years around 2000 I started developing a mIRC-script client in which I learned to use many different types of coding since it was a pretty extensive language for focusing on just one client.
I started doding this when I realised that what stopped me was the lack of an extern coding skill and at the time there was no time learning C/C++ and it was put on ice but still a great experience.
In 2003 I join upper secondary school in my hometown to study Media and IT, at the time I was really into writing and thought it could be a future proffesion for me.
But also the fact that it headed towards IT with some programming and other computer related learning interested me.
Here I evolved skills using languages such as PHP and XHTML.
It was a small private owned school and I enjoyed these years alot with a really tight group of friends.
Present
In 2008 I moved to Malmö and started my education at The Game Assembly which I’m still currently attending too still as the first class in the history of the shool.
The school was created on demand my Massive entertainment and the curriculum was developed in cooperation with them as well.
Our teacher was Niklas Hansson a lead programmer of the critically aclaimed title World in Conflict
The focus of the education is Game Programming, which mainly involves C++ coding but also HLSL and scripting languages such as Python and Lua.
As a shool who creates game we do not focus on any special part during the education and get to have a basic knowledge about every area instead.
Future
In the near future I hope to continue educate myself towards programming and math to improve the knowledge I need to fully be able to fully utilize the programming languages used and my thoughts on what I want to do.
And possibly in the end get a job which involves programming. Not necessarily game programming but any programming which allows me to continue with this enojyable type of work that I really enjoy alot and would love to call my job.
